My life changes when the apartment I've rented in Miami for sixteen years is put on the market. The answer is clear-it's time to finally live my dream of living in Los Angeles.
I give notice at WLRN, donate most of my possessions, send the rest by greyhound and hop in the car. After picking up my friend Aaron at the Miami airport, we drive westward with precious cargo (Paco del Barrio) meowing in the back seat.
If I'm in the driver's seat, I need to drive my career. I need to ask for direction and listen to what my agents are saying. I'm not in Kansas anymore. I'm in the Olympic village of voice acting.
