A Road Less Traveled
After nine years of non-stop telenovela work in Bogota, I move to Miami, grab an agent, and start auditioning, expecting to work immediately. Crickets. So I go back to basics: I take acting classes, brush up on my auditioning skills, and get new headshots. When I start booking theatre roles, I become intrigued with my fellow actors who sneak off after rehearsal to do 'dubbing. What's that all about? I follow the scent of voice acting like a detective hound. I am hooked. I have fallen in love with voice over.
Auditioning is the job. Acting is the hobby-what you get to do once in a while.
