I cannot keep looking at the pictures of Colombia's earthquake or the videos on the news. It is too painful. And it has happened so often of late: seeing people under the rubble, the valiant crews trying to get them out, the crying babies and the children, the lost dogs wandering around, crumpled up buildings, trees mangled.
Rather than show the devastation, I prefer to watch the beautiful country that is Colombia.
In 1985, Armero in Colombia was flattened after el Nevado de Ruiz, a volcano, erupted. Americares.org was the first organization on the ground, providing food, medical supplies and clothes to the survivors. Today, I am donating to americares.org
