Humming and Stretching and Lip Trills, Oh My!
Warming up before recording in the booth always helps my voiceover work. In this episode I talk about some simple exercises you can do as you start your day. They may sound funny but it's great for loosening up.
When you're in front of the mic, you're acting with your whole body, not just your voice. So you need to stretch it and be aware that although you're alone in the booth, you're always engaged. Listen to the podcast episode below to hear my 'frog exercise' and more 😊
When you give your body an assignment, like putting your hands behind your back, the tension dissipates and you can give a more interesting read. It also stops the monotony.
