Staying fresh when you're auditioning
Believe it or not, casting directors are looking for your voice. Give yourself some time when you get an audition. You need to present your best self, not necessarily by always trying to please them, but by interpreting the copy and showing your essence. Enjoy the audition you are sending because you never who is listening on the other end. They may not pick you for that particular job but if you are presenting your best work, they will remember.
Auditions are the job, gigs are the hobby; what you get to do once in a while. Every piece of copy is like a one-act play. Make the most of it.
